The purpose of this series of books is to arm the reader with proven and profitable methods of selecting horses to back.
The 1st volume introduced the concept of “backing systems” and, using a real example, explained how we can use past data sensibly to formulate a profitable system for future races.
This 2nd volume examines results by trainer of 30 different Data Views, over the last 5 flat UK seasons up to and including the end of the flat 2014 season in November. This book contains 36 profitable backing systems, of which 5 are considered “star” systems for those that wish to be more selective.

Please note this volume was published before the start of the 2015 season.
All systems refer to the 2015 season and should not be used for 2016 season.
Backing every single selection in all 36 systems in 2015 resulted in 139 winners from 519 selections at a level stakes profit of 5.9% after the maximum possible 5% Betfair Commission.
Higher volume Betfair punters (with hence lower commission deductions) achieved higher level stakes profits up to 8.4%. With a stake of £50 per bet, this would have resulted in profits of between £1,537 and £2,186, depending upon the Betfair commission rate.
We chose 5 systems as “Star Systems” stating they were “for those that wish to be more selective”.
Just sticking to these highlighted 5 highest confidence “Star Systems” would have resulted in 26 winners from 119 selections and a level stakes profit of between 20.4% and 23.5%. £50 staked on each selection would have given profits of between £1,215 and £1,400. All 5 of the “Star Systems” were profitable in their own right.
2016 Volume 1 had now been published and includes 2 systems.

Volume 1 – “Review of 2015 / Preview of 2016”
Volume 2 – “Backing Trainers”
Volume 3 – “Backing Sires”
Volume 4 – “Backing Jockeys”
Volume 5 – “Laying Systems”
Volume 6 – “The All Weather”
Volume 1 is an introductory short book, containing just two systems, and is priced accordingly compared to the other volumes.
Volumes 2 to 6 are full volumes and will each contain multiple profitable systems split between “Test” and “Active Systems”.
Active Systems have a target profit level of 20% of all stakes.
