Par un coup du sort, son esprit est projeté dans la tête de ses compagnons de vie ; ainsi, spectateur impuissant, il revit les grands évènements de son existence de leur point de vue. Complaisances et mensonges lui apparaissent sous le jour le plus cru. Ne serait-il qu’un simple pion au beau milieu de cette mise en scène ?

Origami emprunte à l’art du pliage japonais l’idée que ce que l’on voit n’est pas nécessairement la vérité mais ce que l’on en perçoit. Habilement construit, le roman présente successivement les souvenirs du monde presque parfait de Gaspard, les « figures », et ces mêmes souvenirs mis à plat.

Ce magnifique roman flirte avec l’irréel pour mieux réfléchir à l’envers de notre décor.

J'ai toujours considéré la douleur comme une notion relative.
